📅 Dec 28, 2024 ⚖️ Governance

Governing Classic Table Tennis Since 2010

The ICTTF was founded to protect and develop the traditional forms of table tennis that preceded the modern rubber-sponge era.

We oversee three distinct disciplines — SandBat, HardBat, and WoodBat — each requiring different skills, strategies, and equipment. Our mission is to ensure that these classic forms of the game remain accessible, competitive, and celebrated across all generations.

From our headquarters, we coordinate international championships, certify equipment, register players, and support national associations in developing grassroots programmes.

Our Mission Leadership
🏓

SandBat

The oldest and most nuanced form — played with a SandBat surface that demands exceptional touch and control.

🪃

HardBat

Short pips rubber with no sponge. A true test of placement, consistency, and tactical acumen.

🪵

WoodBat

The most minimalist discipline — bare wood blade, no rubber covering. Pure craftsmanship meets athleticism.

🌍

42 Nations

A global community spanning 6 continents, united by respect for table tennis tradition and heritage.
